Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) is an oxidized form of NADH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Hydroxide). NAD+ is a component of the Electron Transport Chain (ETC), which researchers have suggested to act in carrying electrons and thus energy within cells.
